We treated the fabrics before we turned them into beautiful garments to get rid of excess dye and to ensure that the fabric is pre-shrunk before use.
Slight shrinkage (2-6%) and color run after first few wash is natural.
SILK
Dry clean only
*Avoid being in contact with acidic fluids, iron or copper while wet as the dye may change color.
*Silk is not particularly resistant to abrasion, so be mindful of high friction areas, and sunlight will weaken the protein-based fiber.
*Do not store in direct sunlight or in a damp place.
COTTON
Hand wash for longevity or machine wash on a gentle cycle
Do not bleach.
Do not scrub.
Drip dry - do not wring.
Dry in the shade.
*Hand wash separately in cold water with diluted mild soap or non ionic detergent (e.g. Woolite or an eco soap agent).
*Dissolve soap or detergent in water first.
*Make sure detergent, or soap does not come into direct contact with the dyed garment.
*Fabric gets softer and more absorbent with every wash but using fabric softener in the first few washes does not harm the fabric.
*Press on low with a steam iron to remove any wrinkles, or leave unpressed for a relaxed look.
*Avoid being in contact with acidic fluids, iron or copper while wet as the dye may change color.
*Do not sore in direct sunlight or in a damp place.
